Sunday 28th – Arrival and registration
Welcome to Stockholm. Reception at the Stockholm City Hall for international guests and the Swedish hosts. Host: Lord Mayor Mr. Barry Andersson.
Monday 29th – Programs are arranged by the 12 City districts and the Globetree
Board and lodging of the international guests in Swedish families to learn more about Swedish every-day life.
Tuesday May 30 - Programs arranged by the City districts and Globetree
Preparations for the parades and for the building of the Future Vessel at Riksplan by the Swedish Parliament.
Wednesday May 31 -
Opening Ceremony and Seminars
The Children’s Ombudsman, side seminar in the Tessinsalen at the City Museum of Stockholm.
Opening of the seminar ”What we do today will be the children’s future.” Grünewaldsalen at the Stockholm Concert Hall. Welcome by Mr. Erik Nilsson, Vice Mayor responsible for education, City of Stockholm (Sweden) and Ms. Kajsa Dahlström, President Globetree. Opening Addresses: Ms Lena Sommestad, Minister for the Environment, Ministry of Sustainable Development (Sweden) Mr. Michael Williams, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Ms Marilyn Mosley, President of UNEP Global 500 Forum
Preparations for the parades at the starting points: Rålambshovsparken, Norra Latin, Medborgarplatsen and Galärparken. The parades start from four directions and join by the bridges and the docks of Norrström surrounded by the Royal Castle, the Opera House and the Swedish Parliament
Inauguration - Our Uniting Water Cermony – at the floating stage in the middle of Norrström River. Specially invited people; leaders of all the political parties in the City of Stockholm, indigenous people and the ambassadors of Algeria and Canada. Waters from 100 countries of the world are united.
Thursday June 1 - Building the Future Vessel
Start of building the Future Vessel
at the Riksplan by the Swedish Parliament.
The Vice Speaker of the Parliament Ms. Helena Höij greets all the guests. Before leaving late afternoon the children’s Wish Notes are left for the adults. The night building of the Future Vessel continues all night long.
Friday June 2 - Nightbuilding, Seminars & Closing Ceremony
The nightbuilders, seminar participants and children meet in the morning and talk about the creations in the Future Vessel. Guided tours for Guests of Honour, seminar participants and general public into the Future Vessel.
Thank you speech to the children in the Future Vessel: The Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Mr. Björn von Sydow and the Vice Chairman of the European Commission Ms. Margot Wallström and a special message from Mr. Jan Eliasson, Minister for Foreign Affairs and President of UN General Assembly.
Mayors’ Meeting to establish the Promise for the Future. Stockholm City Hall. Host: Lord Mayor Mr. Barry Andersson
Seminar: Closing session at Stockholm Globe Arena
Closing Ceremony at Stockholm Globe Arena. Presentation of the Gold medals, the Golden Keys and the WorldCiC Trophy to Kampala.

Saturday June 3- Day for the Public

everyone can come and look at the Future Vessel and learn from the children.
Sunday June 4 - Evaluation day
Evaluation together with participants from Swedish municipalities and the international participants.
Monday June 5 - Evaluation day & World Environment Day
A message to the UNEP celebration of the World Environment Day in Alger, Algeria.
Tuesday June 6 – Sweden’s National Day
Program from the World CiC at several stages of Stockholm and in Swedish municipalities.
June 19 - 23 – World Urban Forum
A message to the UN-Habitats’ conference in Vancouver, Canada
