It was a long fearful waiting until the partnership/twinning program could start and we finally got to Homa Bay!
The post election crisis hit Homa Bay very hard and stopped the planned travels between Homa Bay, Kenya and Värmdö, Sweden.
Once peace was proclaimed Homa Bay came to Värmdö in March and a few weeks later the Värmdö delegation came to Homa Bay.
An agreement on Partnership was signed in the City Hall of Homa Bay. The agreement focus on sustainable development, democracy and the Rights of the Child. School contacts will be developed based on contacts between Ösbyskolan, Värmdö and Homa Bay High School.
Three school on three levels, pre-school, primary/secondary school and senior compulsory school will form a model for other schools.
