Participants Program May 2007
This Study Tour became the beginning of establishing partnership/twinning between Sweden - Uganda and Sweden - Kenya.
It was also the preparation for the Second, Third and Fourth World Championship in Cooperation was the focus for the Study Travel to Sweden in May 2007.
Kampala City Council will host the event 2008 and H.W. Deputy Mayor of Kampala Ms Florence Namayanja was head of the delegation coming from Kampala. Nairobi City Council wishes to host the event 2010 and Ms. Mercy M. Musomiwas, Exec. Dir. Girl Child Network of Kenya and Mr. Tim Ekesa, KAACR joined the travel. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has expressed interest to host the event 2012. Mr. Ahmad Zambri Zahari and Fadzillah Aziz, Deputy Presidents of Tree Theatre Group are part of the Organizing Committee.
The Study Tour had focus on:
Meeting and learning from children, students, teachers, NGO’s and decision makers in seven cities/municipalities in Sweden. – How did you prepare for the WorldCiC? What advise do you want to give to us for the coming WorldCiC events?
To learn from Swedish Local and State Authorities how they participated in the WorldCiC event.
The following cities/municipalities received the guests:
Stockholm, Skärholmen and Katarina Sofia (City Districts of Stockholm), Vimmerby, Värmdö, Strängnäs, Skellefteå and Kalix.
The Children’s Ombudsman and the Swedish Association for Local Authorities held seminars and a special visit to the Swedish Parliament where the First World Championship in Cooperation took place 2006.

Vimmerby: The Mayor of Vimmerby Mr. Carl-Axel Centerstig
Värmdö: The Mayor of Värmdö Mr. Jonas Nilsson
Strängnäs: The Mayor of Strängnäs Ms Ann Lagerholm. In Strängnäs they also presented their exchange program with Simanjiro Municipality, Tanzania.
Skellefteå: Mayor of Skellefteå Ms Ann-Christin Weterlund and Mayor Mr. Bert Öhlund
Kalix: Mayor of Kalix Mr. Bert Öhlund and Mr. Robert Forsberg
