Program Preparatory Meeting
Swedish Participants

Many joined the Study Travel to prepare for the Second World Championship in Cooperation. The two main meetings took place at the United Nations, Nairobi, Kenya and at the Parlour, Kampala City Hall, Uganda. Children prepared questions to be dialogued with the mayors, staff from the United Nations, councilors, probation officers, artists and others.
The children’s questions will be the first and most important stepping stone in the process to create the Future Vessel – which is the main activity for the WorldCiC events. The dialogue between children and adults took place in smaller groups. The children living and working on the streets gave tough questions to the probation officer but all were satisfied with the discussion.
At the parlour of the Kampala City Hall the agenda for the preparations was discussed and set. A team from Canada, Sweden and Uganda worked on a hand book for the WorldCiC which will support the process. Many study visits were made to schools, children and youth centers. The visit to the Dembe Hostel of Kampala where young persons are kept until they are taken to court initiated deep reflections. United Nations, Kampala City Council, Lake Victoria Region Local Authorities Cooperation (LVRLAC), NGO’s, schools, artists and others united ideas and inspiration to spread the message of the WorldCiC locally, in regions and internationally.
