As an E-Networker:
Used e-mail since 1982 and one of the  pioneers in the use of conferencing systems, LISTSERV, e-forums for networking. A pioneer in organizing e-conferences, e-seminars, e-workshops, electronic extensions of face-to-face meetings. Have initiated several e-networks on themes like biogas, nitrogen fixation, lactic acid bacteria, ecocity, community gardens, integrated biosystems and organized/moderated various e-activities.

With Civic Societies :
Involved with at least one civic society/NGO at any time, assists in capacity building, coordinate and organize activities, develop projects, write grant applications and fund raising. Have a wide range of interests in appropriate technology, vulnerable children, poverty, skills training and youth employment, food production, water and sanitation, greening of deserts, etc.

developing ideas into proposals and writing grant applications

As a Researcher:
Being a botanist, agricultural microbiologist and biotechnologist, any work done will have an outlook with scientific approach for proper data collection, monitoring and evaluation. I have scientific research experience in areas related to biological nitrogen fixation, biogas technology, single cell protein production (from methanol utilising bacteria, methane-utilizing bacteria, yeast) and wastewater treatment (slaughterhouse, brewery, sewage, polluted river water) and growing of algae.
