We have looked into this a bit and have done preliminary designs for both greenhouse-based and floating, lagoon-based systems (similar to our Lake Restorer Living Machines). A prototype animal waste treatment system is currently under construction in Burlington, Vermont. This system, which is greenhouse-based, will be converting animal wastes to fish foods (algae and plankton) for use in on-site aquaculture systems. It is being designed and constructed by John Todd Research & Design, Inc., an independent design group led by Dr. Todd.
