Small amounts of grass serve as feed for grass carp, which is a big
eater.
In China, water hyacinth, which is a pest in Africa, serves as feeds
for
grass carp in the middle of growth period.
Why in the middle? Because the grass carp fingerlings below 9 cm body
length can not feed it, and near the harvest time, grass carp should
be
given some fine feeds to be fattened for marketing.
