United NationsIn 1995, Globetree received UN-DPI-status and in 1999 Globetree recived the ECOSOC-status, a consultative UN-status. Organizations with ECOSOC-status are admitted into a mutually beneficial working relationship with the United Nations. BangemannThe City of Stockholm challenges cities in the whole world to show their finest information technology projects in the Global Bangemann Challenge. This international IT Award Program started in early 1997. Globetree has been elected as one of five finalists in the Environment category. EXPO98 LissabonGlobetree presented Future Vessel at World Fair, EXPO98 in Lissabon. Globetree held seminars about Information Technology and Education. Ministers of education, pedagogic experts and others where invited as guests to the seminars. Our Uniting WaterSince 1992, Globetree has performed the Our Uniting Water ceremony at several International Meetings, among others: World Expo (98), The Dublin Statement (92), Stockholm Water Symposium (91), UN Conference on Environment and Development, Rio (92), UN 50 celebration Stockholm (95) and Safe Water 2000 New Delhi (90). United Water has been handed to, among others, the Vice President of India, the president of Irland, the Queen of Sweden and to the president of Norway. The Globetree program Future Vessel 1998 involved about 40.000 people
from 50 countries. 4000 participated at the Globe Arena in Stockholm.
Furthermore, tens of thousands participated via the Internet. ASE AwardIn 1998, ASE (Association of Space Explorers) gave Globetree a two pund golden ASE medal as a mark of honour. The medal was handed over by Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov (president ASE-Russia) and Astronaut Jon Mc Bride (president ASE-USA).
