Globetree in cooperation with the National Museum of Kenya invites you to join the Preparatory Committee for the Roots Meeting, that will take place at the Children's Meeting Place, UNON (United Nations in Nairobi, Kenya) and the Museum in 2004.

The program is a follow up of the inauguration program of the Children's Meeting Place in September 2001.

The inauguration of the Children's Meeting Place became a world event which was attended by, among many others, the UNEP Director General Klaus Toepfer and the Swedish Ambassador Ms. Inga Björk-Klevby.
United Nations Secr. Gen. Kofi Annan, The Queen of Sweden, the Prime Minister of Sweden and the EU Commissioner Margot Wallström were among the many around the world to send their special messages and congratulations to the Children's Meeting Place.

Globetree is authorized to run a Children's Meeting Place at the United Nations. Children and youth all over the world are invited to participate in the development of the programs in and around The Children's Meeting Place - a beautiful Acacia Tree.

The first focus will be on the roots.

"A Tree without Roots will not grow".

The PrepCom Roots Meeting is planned in cooperation with:
The National Museum of Kenya, Loreto Convent Msongari, Deaf Blind Unit Kilimani Nairobi, Mucii Wa Childrens Program and Children's Garden in Nairobi.
