Roots Meeting 13-19 November
Children’s Meeting Place, United Nations, Nairobi, Kenya
Invitation
Globetree has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the International
Roots Meeting at the Children’s Meeting Place, United Nations in Nairobi
the 13th – 19th of November 2004.
The
Children’s Meeting Place is a beautiful Acacia Tree on the grounds of
the United Nations, Nairobi. The Children’s Tree is also called The
Mother Tree.
A
tree without roots will not stand – cannot grow.
The Roots Meeting is an answer to the Children’s Declaration which was
composed and declared at the Inauguration of the Children’s Meeting
Place in September 2001.
The
Roots of the Children’s Tree are concerned adults around the world.
The assignment of The Roots is to be the foundation for children when
they are confronted with difficulties, facing with HIV/AIDS, worry about
their future, helpless in their living environment, filled with ideas
and wish to dialogue their concerns.
In the Roots Meeting we will find creative and empowering ways how to
implement the two UN-documents The Rights of the Child and Agenda 21
into practical actions on a sustainable development.
Globetree
looks forward to see many children and concerned adults, The Roots of
the World, at the International Roots Meeting!
