PACIDA is a non-profit, non-sectarian, local NGO that was established as a CBO in 2004. It gained national  NGO in 2008. It is now managed by 7 board members with the responsibility for policy formation and guidance of the organization. At program level PACIDA is administered by Management Team.

The objective of the organization shall be to strengthen local capacities and initiative by working in partnership with community groups in collaboration with respective Government departments in the field of participatory development. PACIDA strongly believes in community-based programs that improve the quality of lives of the Nomadic pastoralist in terms of livestock &human health, environment, education, access to water & pasture, peace and good governance.
