Mariams Nasimiyu Prutentia.
Mariam is 18 years old and has 5 brothers and 2 sisters. 6 of them are older with one brother younger than her. One of her brothers is in university and 3 of them, including Mariam, are in high school. 2 of them are in primary school.

The past
All of them used to live with their father and mother in Bungoma, Western Kenya, before their parents had a big argument. She is not sure what the argument was about but because of that, the father sold everything including the land and went away. Mariam's mother went to her mother's place ( Mariam's grandmother) in Kitale to live. The oldest sister, who is now Moses' wife went to look for work in Nairobi and met Moses. by now all the children had left schoolbecause they could not afford the fees. The mother also went away and left the children with their grandmother. She was the first girl at Childrens Garden in 2002 after their older sister took them there.

The future
She is a student at St Claire's Maragolim Girls Secondary school. She loves interacting with others and travelling, and she wants to be an air hostess in future.
She would like to bring many things in the world home like a chance for the children to have fun and anjoy themselves and put emphasis on environmental education. She would also like the children of the world home to go out and meet children from the streets, not just to keep to themselves and they should always be free to expess themselves
