In 2008, SIDA/Forum Syd funded 2 projects. The 1st project was a Training Course on Food Self-Reliance and follow-up activities with the participants on how to make liquid fertilizer, how to start and manage a plant nursery, how to construct a dry toilet, how to re-use wash water for crop irrigation and rabbit meat production. The 2nd project was on capacity building of the NGO Children's Garden Group (Director: Moses Ndungu). . The projects were implemented by Jacky Foo (Program officer, Environment and Sustainable Development)

In 2009 Pour les Autres Fondation via "Katolska Kyrkan in Sverige" will fund the construction of 3 more rabbit houses. Income from the sales of rabbit will be deposited into a micro-loan fund for future use by the children who care for the rabbits.
