With the assistance from Globetree (Sweden), CGG initiated activities in 2001 with an informal school under trees with 5 children and a rented home with limited space. In 2006, the Children's Garden Center was established in Kawangware with the help of a sponsor who purchased 1 acre land and a primary school was constructed. 90 children lived in a rented large house. In 2008, a 9-apartment and 3-storey building was purchased and currently house 140 children with supporting staff at the "Children's Garden Home".
